Micro-one is a filter bag manufacturer and supplier that makes everything in-house: nonwoven felt, ePTFE membrane, lamination and finished filter bags. This vertical integration lets us design filters for each industry's flue gas conditions and control quality and lead times directly.
Our flagship products are the CataFill™ catalytic filter bag, which reduces dust and harmful gases such as NOx and HCN in a single filter, and the DuraFill™ ePTFE membrane filter bag. Micro-one is one of the few catalytic filter bag suppliers with bags installed and operating at customer plants (3,300 bags at the Kanding incinerator, Taiwan, 2024; 840 bags at a refinery/chemical plant of a major Korean company, 2026). Since 2006, Micro-one has supplied filter bags to more than 700 customers in Korea and overseas.
CataFill™ is a catalytic filter bag made by Micro-one Co., Ltd. (Korea): an ePTFE membrane laminated onto catalyst-loaded PTFE nonwoven felt. Installed in place of the existing bags in a baghouse, it removes dust and harmful gases in a single filter bag. The catalyst is chosen for the target gas – nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrogen cyanide (HCN), carbon monoxide (CO) and others. Micro-one is a Korean catalytic filter bag manufacturer and supplier.

How does CataFill™ remove dust and NOx at the same time?
Dust and NOx can be removed in one baghouse by replacing the existing bags with catalytic filter bags. In CataFill™, the outer ePTFE membrane captures dust on the bag surface. The filtered gas then passes through the catalyst-loaded felt, where NOx is reduced. The uniform ePTFE membrane spreads the gas evenly across the catalyst layer, and the hydrophobic membrane keeps dust and catalyst poisons away from the catalyst, extending its service life. CataFill™ is applicable to flue gas at 120–200°C; for NOx reduction, operation at 180°C or above is recommended.
CATALYTIC FILTER BAG · PARTICLE FLOWHow are dust and NOx treated inside CataFill™?
OVERVIEWOverall flow
STEP 1Dust capture & DeNOx
Dust is captured on the surface of the ePTFE membrane and builds up into a dust cake. NOx passes through the membrane and is reduced to nitrogen (N₂) and water (H₂O) in the catalyst-loaded PTFE felt.
STEP 2Air Pulsing & Catalyst Retention
A pulse of compressed air from inside the bag knocks the dust cake off, and it falls into the hopper. The pulse shakes the fibers and catalyst, but the outer ePTFE membrane holds the catalyst in, so it is not lost and NOx reduction continues.
Conceptual animation for illustration only; actual particle size, speed and proportions differ. NOx reduction requires a reducing agent such as ammonia or urea.
Change the Catalyst, Change the Target Gas
CataFill™ keeps the same filter bag construction and loads the felt with a catalyst matched to the target gas. The same baghouse can then target the specific emission your site needs to control.

How does CataFill™ compare with SCR and ceramic catalytic filters?
If you already have a baghouse but lack the space or budget for a reactor, CataFill™ catalytic filter bags are the better fit. For high-temperature flue gas, ceramic catalytic filters may be more suitable; where very high NOx removal is required, SCR may be the right choice.

Certified Performance
Korea Environmental New Technology (NET) No. 631, “Functional catalytic filter manufacturing technology for treating dust and NOx in flue gas” – certified scope: dust removal efficiency of 99% or higher, NOx removal efficiency of about 50%, pressure drop of 100 mmH₂O or lower (valid May 1, 2024 – April 30, 2032). Korea Green Technology Certificate GT-26-02540 (valid February 5, 2026 – February 4, 2030). These figures define the certified scope. Separately, beyond the certified scope, at operating temperatures of 180°C or higher, NOx reduction of 80% or more can be achieved with a suitable design (see FAQ). Actual design performance depends on site conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a catalytic filter bag?
A catalytic filter bag is a baghouse filter bag whose felt carries a catalyst, so it filters dust and treats NOx and other harmful gases in the same bag. It replaces the bags in an existing baghouse, so no separate SCR reactor is needed. NOx reduction requires a reducing agent such as ammonia or urea. Micro-one’s catalytic filter bag is CataFill™.
What is CataFill™?
CataFill™ is a catalytic filter bag made by Micro-one Co., Ltd. in Korea: an ePTFE membrane laminated onto catalyst-loaded PTFE nonwoven felt. It replaces the bags in an existing baghouse and removes dust and NOx together at 120–200°C.
Can a baghouse remove NOx?
A standard baghouse removes dust only. Fitted with catalytic filter bags such as Micro-one’s CataFill™, a baghouse can also reduce NOx: dust is captured on the ePTFE membrane and NOx is reduced in the catalyst-loaded felt, using ammonia or urea injected upstream. The certified scope under Korea NET No. 631 is 99% or higher dust removal and about 50% NOx removal.
How is CataFill™ different from ceramic catalytic filters?
Ceramic catalytic filters are rigid candle-type filters. Whether they can be used in an existing collector has to be reviewed plant by plant, and the collector may need to be modified. CataFill™ is a catalytic filter bag that replaces the bags in an existing baghouse, so it can be applied to existing equipment as is. Ceramic catalytic filters are often used at higher temperatures, so the right approach depends on flue gas temperature, composition and plant conditions.
Who manufactures catalytic filter bags?
Only a handful of catalytic filter bag suppliers have bags installed and operating at customer plants, including W. L. Gore & Associates, Topsoe and Micro-one Co., Ltd. Micro-one, a filter manufacturer in Cheonan, Korea, makes everything in-house – nonwoven felt, ePTFE membrane, catalyst loading, lamination and finished bags. It supplied 3,300 bags to the Kanding incinerator in Taiwan in 2024 and 840 CataFill™-DHX bags to a refinery/chemical plant of a major Korean company in 2026.
How do I choose a catalytic filter bag supplier?
Check third-party certification (such as Korea Environmental New Technology), actual supply volumes, whether the supplier makes the membrane and loads the catalyst in-house, and whether it reviews your site conditions. Micro-one’s CataFill™ technology holds Korea Environmental New Technology (NET) No. 631 and Korea Green Technology GT-26-02540. Micro-one supplied 3,300 CataFill™ bags to the Kanding incinerator in Taiwan in 2024 and 840 CataFill™-DHX bags to a refinery/chemical plant of a major Korean company in 2026.
Who makes CataFill™?
CataFill™ is developed and manufactured by Micro-one Co., Ltd., a filter manufacturer based in Cheonan, Korea. Micro-one makes the nonwoven felt, ePTFE membrane, lamination and finished filter bags in-house. CataFill™ is Micro-one’s own product name and is not related to similarly named products from other companies.
Can CataFill™ be installed in my existing baghouse?
Yes. Bags are made to order to your bag dimensions, so they drop in as direct replacements for your existing bags. Dust collection and harmful-gas reduction happen together without a separate catalytic reactor. We review your operating conditions in advance, and a reducing-agent supply system may be needed for NOx reduction.
What operating temperature does CataFill™ need?
CataFill™ is applicable to flue gas at 120–200°C. We design the catalytic filter bags for your gas temperature, the concentration and composition of target gases, and your reduction target. For NOx reduction, operation at 180°C or above is generally recommended within that range; designs for lower temperatures are possible depending on site conditions.
What NOx removal efficiency can CataFill™ achieve?
The certified scope under Korea NET No. 631 is about 50% NOx removal. Beyond the certified scope, at operating temperatures of 180°C or higher, CataFill™ can achieve 80% or more. For example, at a flue gas flow of 100,000 m³/h, an inlet NOx concentration of 100 ppm and an operating temperature of 180°C, NOx reduction of 80% or more can be achieved with an appropriate filtration area, catalyst loading and reducing-agent supply. We design each catalytic filter bag for the site's flue gas characteristics and target emission level.
What is the pressure drop of CataFill™?
CataFill™ consists of an ePTFE membrane and catalyst-loaded PTFE nonwoven felt. Initial pressure drop is 100 mmH₂O (about 1 kPa) or lower at the design filtration velocity. It may be slightly higher than a standard non-membrane felt bag, but surface filtration reduces dust penetration into the felt and helps dust release during cleaning. Actual operating pressure drop depends on dust load and characteristics, filtration velocity and cleaning conditions.
Can CataFill™ treat gases other than NOx?
Yes. By changing the catalyst, CataFill™ can be applied to HCN (hydrogen cyanide), CO (carbon monoxide), NH₃ (ammonia), dioxins and more. In 2026, Micro-one supplied 840 CataFill™-DHX bags for HCN decomposition to a refinery/chemical plant of a major Korean company, cutting HCN emissions by 90% or more. Catalysts for CO and other gases are designed for site conditions.
